While the Winter Solstice has been and gone the Southern Solstice Sojourn will return having been postponed due to bad weather in June.
The Winter Solstice marks that point in the year when there is the least amount of hours of daylight. Many ancient civilisations have acknowledged this event – There are feasts, celebrations, rituals – even the Druids have held built monoliths in recognition of this event in the calendar year.
