Fish and Chips

Don’t forget to let Gary know your order for the Fish and Chip run this Sunday! More details can be found by reading the post on Sprite News >HERE<.

Check out the menu on line and send Gary a message with your order,

This is a great run, late afternoon and the long range forecast look like it will be a great evening!

Australia Day Thong Throwing

Please come along to the traditional Thong Throwing Competition at the Chabrel’s, overlooking the beautiful Oakbank Racecourse.

This has to be one of the most hotly contested (and, as a former winner, prestigious) trophies in the Sprite Club Calendar and is in consideration as a State v State event for the Nationals (I can’t actually confirm this and really have just made this bit up, but now its out there it has to be food for thought right Gordon??).

I know that EVERYONE read Sprouting Forth over Christmas so OF COURSE everyone knows the details, but for the small minority that didn’t read it (shame on you all!), details are below:

Where? Des and Penny Chabrel’s, 2 Dorset Lane, Oakbank

When? Monday, 26th of Jan, from 1230 onwards

What do I bring? Chairs, a picnic lunch and something cool to drink. Penny and Des will provide dessert, tea and coffee!

What can I win? As always, the highly coveted John and Judy Bowering Memorial Trophy is up for grabs.

What is the John and Judy Bowering Memorial Trophy and why is it so important? If you don’t know, shame on you, so come along and find out!.

I’m unreliably informed that the Australian Cricket Selectors wish this event was earlier in the summer so our spin bowlers can come along to get some new wrist flick ideas of a killer curve ball, such is the skill required to win.

Not to self – don’t Google ‘images of thongs’ when looking for a suitable picture…..
