The first Sprite Club Classic Sports Car Cruise event hit Adelaide’s streets on Saturday last. With a turn up of 14 cars of various marques. The weather turned on idyllic conditions for top down motoring. The odd wave coming from dinners at curbside eateries. Our convoy became temporarily scattered as we had to navigate around closed off roads due to horse trials in the east parklands. We regrouped on Anzac highway and did a reasonable job of clogging the road with sports cars. After a 1 hour drive we gathered at K mart on Tapleys Hill road where Sprite club members voted Trevor Hawkins immaculate Triumph TR6 the most appealing car and duly presented him with a trophy. The whole thing was low key, informal, very friendly and most enjoyable. We learned from the experience and everyone asked about next time which we will organize for a Saturday evening in February. Watch this Space. A big thank you to all who attended.
