A total of 52 Sprite Club Members attended the 52nd Annual Dinner, celebrating 52 years since the foundation of the Sprite Club of South Australia. This year we headed to Café Paparazzi for a beautiful three course meal that was subsided by the Sprite Club.

Members were greeted to tables decorated with Sprite Workshop Manual image placemats and advertisements. Soon a pre-dinner drink was ordered and the staff came to take our food order – steak, chicken or fish were the choice + entre and dessert.

While the members were eating they also were completing the Spritely Alphabet Quiz that asked Spridget questions and asked for information from the placemats that were arranged on the table.

After the main course it was time for the serious part of the night -the Award Winners for 2024. These perpetual trophies are for the various winners of the different categories. These included the following and the recipients for each trophy:

Club Person of the Year – Gary Dodd

Sprite of the Year – Peter Dineen – MG Spridget

Associate Car of the Year – David and Carole Tye – Lotus Elan

Tony Bennetto “Spirit of Sprites” Award – Pat Miller

President Award – Angela Wicks

Congratulations to all of these winners!

Not all were present, so President Robin phone dialled Gary Dodd to inform him of his award.

After a raffle with almost “every player wins a prize” and the results of the Spritely Alphabet Quiz were revealed – with two teams tied on 24 out of 26 points – surprising how many know that Donald Healey’s wife’s name is not Mrs Healey!

Thanks to Grant and Angela for finding the location with great food – no one went home hungry!

There was even an Italian Theme in the Car Park!
